Skipper is aiming revenue of Rs 3,000 crore by 2018-19 on the back of initiatives taken by the government to give a boost to the sector with schemes like UDAY.
The Power transmission tower maker, which is also engaged in manufacturing of PVC pipes and fittings, is betting big on the government’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and smart cities programme and expect the contribution from this business to grow by up to 25 percent from the current 8 percent. The company will continue to invest almost Rs 50 crore every year to enhance its manufacturing capacities both in the transmission and PVC business.
Skipper is engaged in structural fabrication and manufacturing of mild steel and galvanized iron pipes, steel tubular poles, scaffolding and accessories and PVC pipes. Structural fabrication is the major contributor to the revenue of the company.
