Kotak Mahindra Bank surges as RBI approves FII limit of 55%

Kotak Mahindra Bank is currently trading at Rs. 672.55, up by 8.50 points or 1.28% from its previous closing of Rs. 664.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 664.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 675.60 and Rs. 661.45 respectively. So far 23098 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 744.45 on 21-Jul-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 586.50 on 29-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 675.60 and Rs. 642.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 121467.14 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 33.73% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.13% and 27.14% respectively.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved foreign investment limit in Kotak Mahindra Bank to 55%. The current limit for Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs)/ sub-accounts of FIIs, Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) and Qualified Foreign Investors (QFIs) approved by the Board of Directors remains at 40%.

Kotak Mahindra Bank registered 36.64% rise in its standalone net profit at Rs 634.72 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 464.52 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased 61.77% at Rs 4843.86 crore for Q3FY16 as compared Rs 2994.2 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
