Ceat gains on reporting 11% rise in Q4 consolidated net profit

Ceat is currently trading at Rs. 1134.00, up by 14.10 points or 1.26% from its previous closing of Rs. 1119.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1110.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1149.95 and Rs. 1104.60 respectively. So far 47181 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1318.30 on 07-Oct-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 596.70 on 09-Jun-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1164.75 and Rs. 1086.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4602.41 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.76% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.06% and 15.17% respectively.

Ceat has reported a rise of 14.30% in its net profit at Rs 102.23 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 89.44 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company has decreased by 2.39% at Rs 1397.55 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1431.77 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.

On consolidated basis, the company has posted a rise of 11.48% in its net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates at Rs 104.69 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 93.91 crore for the corresponding quarter in the FY15. However, total income of the company fell 0.94% at Rs 1466.61 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1480.56 crore for the same quarter ended previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, the company has posted a rise of 51.36% in its net profit at Rs 452.52 crore as compared to Rs 298.97 crore for the same period in the previous year. However, total income of company decreased 0.52% at Rs 5541.31 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 5570.29 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, on the consolidated basis, the company has posted rise of 40.77% in its net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates at Rs 446.49 crore as compared to Rs 317.18 crore for the same period in the previous year. However, total income of company has decreased marginally by 0.53 at Rs 5743.98 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 5774.73 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
