Himalya International trades higher on the bourses

Himalya International is currently trading at Rs. 23.75, up by 0.50 points or 2.15% from its previous closing of Rs. 23.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 23.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 24.25 and Rs. 23.30 respectively. So far 44,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 29.90 on 26-Jul-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 15.40 on 04-Jan-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 25.50 and Rs. 22.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 122.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 30.48% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.74% and 62.78% respectively.

Himalya International has received two prestigious 'Emerging India' Awards sponsored by ICICI Bank and CNBC-TV18. The company has been awarded the Best SME in Agriculture and Food Processing as well as The Most Innovative SME of the year.

The company’s Chairman and CEO was honored by the Union Minister, the Chairman of Bajaj Auto and the Managing Director and CEO of ICICI Bank at a grand ceremony held at Mumbai on March 22, 2012.

Himalaya International operates as a frozen food company in India. The company manufactures and sells mushrooms, vegetables, cheese, yogurts, appetizers, snacks, and sweets, as well as baby potatoes and buffalo cheese.
