Arvind gains on plans to raise up to Rs 500 crore

Arvind is currently trading at Rs. 287.55, up by 0.55 points or 0.19% from its previous closing of Rs. 287.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 288.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 293.90 and Rs. 287.45 respectively. So far 74952 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 365.50 on 06-Jan-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 216.20 on 16-Jun-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 293.90 and Rs. 272.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7411.58 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 43.78%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.98% and 17.24% respectively.

Arvind, textiles to retail conglomerate, is eyeing to raise up to Rs 500 crore through issuance of non-convertible debentures (NCDs) on a private placement basis. The board of the company will consider the proposal in its meeting on May 12.

Arvind is India's largest integrated textile player and is one of the oldest and most respected groups in the Textile Business in India. The company is also one of the largest producers of denim fabrics and is supplier to a large number of fashion brands in the world.
