Mukta Agriculture has entered into lease agreement for four farms, located in the State of Gujarat, for carrying out cultivation activity. This farms aggregate to about 76 acres (190 bigha) of land in all. The company intends to cultivate ‘Moringa’ plant on this land. Moringa which is also commonly known as ‘drumstick tree’ in India is recognized worldwide for its nutritional and medicinal values.
Eventually, Mukta is planning to obtain organic certification for these fields. With this it will in turn foster the life of the soil, reap the benefits from the soil and greatly facilitates the plant to access the soil nutrients and hence increase the productivity of Moringa plant.
The nutritional value of food is largely a function of its vitamin and mineral content. In this regard, organically grown food is dramatically superior in mineral content to that grown by modem conventional methods.
