Andhra Bank dips on reporting 72% fall in Q4 net profit

Andhra Bank is currently trading at Rs. 51.60, down by 0.15 points or 0.29% from its previous closing of Rs. 51.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 51.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 51.75 and Rs. 51.15 respectively. So far 47474 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 81.80 on 28-May-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 41.75 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 53.65 and Rs. 49.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3525.02 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.26% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 22.84% and 15.89% respectively.

Andhra Bank has posted a fall of 72.14% in its net profit at Rs 51.60 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 185.24 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank has increased by 9.05% at Rs 5124.37 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 4699.16 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, the bank has posted a fall of 15.44% in its net profit at Rs 539.84 crore as compared to Rs 638.44 crore for the same period in the previous year. However, total income of bank increased 7.45% at Rs 19199.16 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 17868.45 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
