Kaveri Seed Company has reported results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2016.
The company has posted a net loss at Rs 9.76 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to net profit of Rs 2.30 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 6.42% at Rs 36.31 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 34.12 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.
On consolidated basis, the company has posted a net loss at Rs 7.45 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to Net profit of Rs 1.25 crore for the corresponding quarter in the FY15. Total income of the company increased by 10.59% at Rs 49.49 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 44.75 crore for the same quarter ended previous year.
For the year ended March 31, 2016, the company has posted a fall of 41.32% in its net profit at Rs 177.12 crore as compared to Rs 301.84 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of company decreased 23.54% at Rs 864.91 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 1131.17 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
For the year ended March 31, 2016, on the consolidated basis, the company has posted a fall of 42.62% in its net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates at Rs 172.68 crore as compared to Rs 300.95 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of company has decreased by 22.65% at Rs 910.16 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 1176.66 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
