Arvind has reported results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2016.
The company has posted a rise of 7.75% in its net profit at Rs 73.00 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 67.75 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 4.18% at Rs 1439.26 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1381.53 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.
On consolidated basis, the company has posted over two fold jump in its net profit after taxes & minority interest at Rs 110.33 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 48.23 crore for the corresponding quarter in the FY15. Total income of the company increased by 13.42% at Rs 2340.37 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 2063.48 crore for the same quarter ended previous year.
For the year ended March 31, 2016, the company has posted a fall of 15.52% in its net profit at Rs 318.85 crore as compared to Rs 377.43 crore for the same period in the previous year. However, total income of company increased 3% at Rs 5513.58 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 5352.94 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
For the year ended March 31, 2016, on the consolidated basis, the company has posted rise of 6.33% in its net profit after taxes & minority interest at Rs 362.70 crore as compared to Rs 341.10 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of company has increased by 7.58% at Rs 8546.82 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 7944.60 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
The Scheme of Arrangement between Arvind and its wholly owned subsidiary Arvind Infrastructure (AIL) for demerger and transfer of Real Estate Undertaking to AIL sanctioned by the High Court of Gujarat has become effective from April 01, 2015. Consequent to the Scheme, the company has demerged the Real Estate Undertaking and hence the results for the quarter are not strictly comparable with previous corresponding periods presented.
