Axis Bank surges on raising senior notes worth $500 million in the international market

Axis Bank is currently trading at Rs. 542.50, up by 18.15 points or 3.46% from its previous closing of Rs. 524.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 528.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 545.00 and Rs. 526.00 respectively. So far 859779 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 613.40 on 16-Jul-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 366.65 on 18-Jan-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 529.50 and Rs. 506.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 129279.43 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 30.76% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 58.61% and 10.63% respectively.

Axis Bank has allotted Senior Fixed Rate Green Bonds aggregating to $500 million on June 01, 2016, under the MTN Programme through its Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) branch. The notes will be listed at the Singapore Stock Exchange and London Stock Exchange.

The notes have been priced at 160 basis points over the 5-year US Treasury Note, at a price of 99.479% to yield 2.988%. The notes will be denominated in US dollars, and will bear fixed interest of 2.875% per annum, with interest payable semi-annually in arrears.
