Nava Bharat Ventures surges on plan to commission 300 MW thermal power project in Zambia

Nava Bharat Ventures is currently trading at Rs 189.80, up by 3.45 points or 1.85% from its previous closing of Rs. 186.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 190.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 192.50 and Rs. 188.85 respectively. So far 3596 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 197.70 on 07-Jun-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 128.00 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 194.85 and Rs. 185.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1690.66 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 44.31% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.21% and 25.48% respectively.

Nava Bharat Ventures is all set to commission its first overseas thermal power project of 300 MW in Zambia later this month and the power project is set for commercial operations during the second quarter of the current financial year. While the first unit of 150 MW power project will be operational by June, the second one within a month thereafter, contributing to the sales volumes and profitability.

Nava Bharat Ventures (NBV) operates in the business verticals of power generation, mining, ferro alloys and agri-business with multi-national operations spread over India, South East Asia and Africa.
