Arvind to open 55 new outlets this fiscal

Arvind, integrated textiles and branded apparel player, is likely to introduce 55 new outlets across the country this fiscal. It has opened its fifth exclusive brand outlet in Hyderabad, the 20th in Andhra Pradesh, on April 5, 2012.

The distribution network of the company will increase to 100 with the 55 new outlets. It aims to scale it up to 140 by 2013-14, which will focus on tier III cities. Andhra Pradesh will continue to be a focus area for the company, with nine more outlets in the pipeline in the State this fiscal.

The company has to invest Rs 60 lakh and Rs 1 crore for each store set up on the franchise model. The company is sharpening focus on its customized garments business. This concept was picking up in the domestic apparel market.
