Soma Textiles & Industries has closed down its Garment Unit at Ahmedabad in state of Gujarat with immediate effect from August 10, 2016. The company has taken this step as it is not viable to continue garment unit at the present scenario because of its continuing losses due to high operative cost followed by tough competition from small garment units in unorganised sector, market crisis and other adverse factors.
Soma Textiles and Industries is a textile manufacturing company. It manufactures and markets cotton yarn, shirting fabrics, bottom wear fabrics and denim fabrics.
