Ceat slips as its Q1 consolidated net declines by 15%

Ceat is currently trading at Rs. 861.65, down by 22.05 points or 2.50% from its previous closing of Rs. 883.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 874.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 874.00 and Rs. 852.50 respectively. So far 69,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1318.30 on 07-Oct-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 731.20 on 24-Jun-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 915.35 and Rs. 852.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3,485.58 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.76%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.38% and 17.86% respectively.

The company has reported a fall of 19.17% in its net profit at Rs 96.49 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 119.38 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the company’s total income increased 3.24% to Rs 1462.70 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1416.76 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a fall of 14.53% in its net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates Rs 104.06 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 121.75 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased 3.74% to Rs 1475.92 crore for quarter under review from Rs 1422.77 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.
