Empee Sugars soars on concluding 100% acquisition of Appollo Wind Energy

Empee Sugars & Chemicals is currently trading at Rs. 12.00, up by 0.35 points or 3.00% from its previous closing of Rs. 11.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 11.61 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 12.00 and Rs. 11.60 respectively. So far 4720 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 79.40 on 13-Apr-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 9.60 on 22-Nov-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 12.00 and Rs. 11.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 48.69 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.81% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 1.13% and 30.06% respectively.

Empee Sugars and Chemicals has completed the acquisition of 100% paid up equity share capital of Appollo Wind Energy. Pursuant to this acquisition, Appollo Wind Energy has become a 100% subsidiary of the company.

Empee Sugars and Chemicals manufactures and sells sugar, industrial alcohol, and other allied products in India. It has two operating units at Naidupet (Nellore) in Andhrapradesh and Ambasamudram (Tirunelveli) in Tamil Nadu. It also has 8000 TCD cane crushing capacity, integrated with 60 klpd distillery and 50 MW cogeneration plant.
