Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) has launched a new bill payment facility for its 27 lakh Mumbai suburban consumers. Consumers will now have the option of paying their electricity bills anytime and anywhere, as per their convenience through Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). The company has tied up with the leading IVRS provider ATOM Technology, to launch this service in Mumbai.

To avail this service, consumers will have to dial the company’s toll free power helpline number - 1800 200 3030. Once connected, they will have to follow the IVRS instructions, like selecting preferred language, entering user account number, choosing payment options, entering details of bank account, etc.

After the payments are made either through credit/debit cards or through bank accounts, IVR system will then generate a payment reference number confirming the payment made, which consumers could note down for any future correspondence.

Currently, IVRS Payment facilities are available with Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Corporation Bank and Bank of India, which will be soon be extended to other banks.
