Emco rises on inking agreement to sell wind mills in Maharashtra

Emco is currently trading at Rs. 33.15, up by 1.00 points or 3.11% from its previous closing of Rs. 32.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 33.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 33.60 and Rs. 32.70 respectively. So far 54,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 37.40 on 27-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 21.75 on 29-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 37.40 and Rs. 30.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 224.01 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 45.46%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.01% and 49.53% respectively.

Emco has entered into an agreement for selling its Business Unit i.e. Wind Mills situated at Sinner and Sangli in Maharashtra on a slump sale basis subject to fulfillment of conditions precedent as per agreement.

Emco is engaged in manufacturing power equipments and is the third largest manufacturer of transformers in India.
