Rallis India tumbles on reporting 20% fall in FY12 net profit

Rallis India is currently trading at Rs. 120.80, down by 7.85 points or 6.10% from its previous closing of Rs. 128.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 124.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 124.70 and Rs. 116.60 respectively. So far 97531 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 185.70 on 04-Oct-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 113.50 on 02-Jan-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 135.40 and Rs. 116.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2356.96 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.07% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.94% and 23.99% respectively. 

Agrochemicals maker Rallis India, part of Tata Group, has reported a fall of 19.66% in its standalone net profit to Rs 101.39 crore for the 2011-12 fiscal. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 126.21 crore in the 2010-11 financial year.

The standalone net sales of the company rose by 10% to Rs 1,151.94 crore in the last fiscal from Rs 1,046.72 crore in the 2010-11 fiscal.

The company’s consolidated net revenues for the 2011-12 fiscal rose by 17% to reach a new high at Rs 1,245 crore. It posted a consolidated net profit after tax of Rs 100 crore after an exceptional item of Rs 17 crore.

The company has also recommended a dividend of Rs 1.20 per share, taking the total dividend for the year to Rs 2.20 per share.
