RattanIndia Power slips on reporting net loss of Rs 50.73 crore in Q2

RattanIndia Power is currently trading at Rs 7.12, down by 0.32 points or 4.30% from its previous closing of Rs. 7.44 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 7.29 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 7.30 and Rs. 6.92 respectively. So far 508970 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 13.48 on 06-Jan-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 6.82 on 16-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 7.89 and Rs. 6.92 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2126.11 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.49%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.81% and 24.71% respectively.

RattanIndia Power reported a net loss of Rs 50.73 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to a net loss of Rs 82.82 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income decreased by 51.48% to Rs 308.37 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 635.61 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

RattanIndia group, having net worth of more than $1 billion, is a business conglomerate with business interests in power generation, cement and mining. RattanIndia Power is developing coal based thermal power projects Amravati and Nasik in Maharashtra.
