Chemfab Alkalis' Puducherry Plant, has bagged the ‘National Energy Conservation Award, 2016’. The plant has been awarded first prize in appreciation of the achievements in Energy Conservation in Chlor Alkali Sector by Government of India, Ministry of Power.

Chemfab Alkalis is the first Chloralkali Plant in India, to introduce and successfully implement Ion Exchange Membrane Cell technology for Chlor-alkali production in 1985.
