Ashok Leyland, the commercial vehicle manufacturer, has reported a fall of 12% in December 2016 sales to 10,731 units, as against 12,154 units sold in the same period of last year. The company has experienced a drop of 9% in its medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) products segment to 8,782 units in December 2016, as compared to 9,703 units in December 2015. Light commercial vehicle (LCV) of the company registered sales of 1,949 units in December 2016 as against 2,451 units in December 2015.
Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
