Phillips Carbon trades jubilantly on reporting threefold jump in Q3 net profit

Phillips Carbon Black is currently trading at Rs. 266.25, up by 12.15 points or 4.78% from its previous closing of Rs. 254.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 255.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 270.90 and Rs. 255.95 respectively. So far 140673 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 289.75 on 28-Oct-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 80.10 on 29-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 270.90 and Rs. 238.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 915.29 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.56%, while institutions and non-institutions held 11.14% and 35.30% respectively.

Phillips Carbon Black has reported over threefold jump in its net profit at Rs 17.47 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 5.08 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income from operations of the company increased by 5.49% at Rs 538.60 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 510.55 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
