Cosmo Films is reportedly expected to commence a new line of production of biaxially-oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films in early February. The new line will have a capacity of around 60,000 tonnes per annum (TPA), which will increase the company’s overall capacity by over 40%. The company’s overall BOPP manufacturing capacity will move up from the current 1.36 lakh tpa to 1.96 lakh tpa. This should result in an increase in revenue of around Rs 450 crore per year. The company’s sales turnover in FY2015-16 stood at Rs 1,620 crore.
Cosmo Films is engaged in the production of Wet Laminating, Printing and Pouching, Label Films, Soap Wrap Films, Over Wrap Films, Tape & Textile and Thermal Laminating Film for Graphic Finishing.
