Central Bank of India surges on fund raising plan

Central Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 90.00, up by 1.00 points or 1.12% from its previous closing of Rs. 89.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 89.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 91.00 and Rs. 88.75 respectively. So far 34720 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 112.00 on 20-Jun-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 48.20 on 17-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 91.00 and Rs. 82.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 16929.32 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 81.28%, while institutions and non-institutions held 14.44% and 4.28% respectively.

Central Bank of India is planning to raise up to Rs 500 crore by issuing Basel III compliant Non-Convertible Redeemable Unsecured Tier 2 Bonds in the nature of promissory notes of Rs 10 lakh each. The Capital Raising Committee of the Board of Directors of the Bank in their meeting, scheduled to be held on February 09, 2017, will consider the same.

Central Bank of India has posted a net loss of Rs 605.70 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016, as compared to a net loss of Rs 836.62 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015. Total income of the Bank decreased by 1.79% at Rs 6787.87 crore for Q3FY17, as compared Rs 6911.62 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
