Adani Enterprises reports over three fold jump in Q4 net profit

Adani Enterprises has registered a jump of 243.26% in net profit at Rs 170.53 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012, compared with a profit of Rs 49.68 crore for the same quarter a year ago. The company’s total income surged 67.87% to Rs 1555.06 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 926.32 crore for the corresponding quarter previous fiscal.

On the consolidated basis, the company has posted a fall of 66.66% in its net profit at Rs 309.45 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 928.20 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.  However, total income has increased by 18.71% at Rs 10826.86 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 9119.94 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011

The company’s net profit for the full financial year 2011-12 rose 34.41% to Rs 361.72 crore in the year under review as against Rs 269.11 crore in FY11. Total income increased by 66.27% to Rs 5743.85 crore for the year ended March 31, 2012 from Rs 3454.50 crore in FY11.   

For the full year 2011-12, the company’s consolidated net profit fall 25.72% to Rs 1839.21 crore as compared to Rs 2476.09 crore in the previous fiscal however, total income from operations during the fiscal stood at Rs 39903.78 crore as against Rs 26826.74 crore in the previous fiscal, up by 48.75%.
