Godman Sachs Singapore has bought 28 lakh shares of Housing Development & Infrastructure (HDIL) at an average price of Rs 83.9 on May 24, 2017. Godman Sachs already owns 43.48 lakh shares or 1% stake in the company. In all, 166 foreign portfolio investors, including Vanguard, DB International, Orbis, Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch and Doric Asia Pacific Fund, own 44.86 per cent stake in HDIL.

HDIL is a real estate development company. Its business activity comprises of construction and development of residential projects, commercial, retail and slum rehabilitation projects. It is also engaged in construction of special economic zone (SEZ).
