HDFC Bank trades higher on the bourses

HDFC Bank is currently trading at Rs. 1687.15, up by 8.60 points or 0.51% from its previous closing of Rs. 1678.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1698.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1698.00 and Rs. 1682.80 respectively. So far 13524 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1715.60 on 22-Jun-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1146.60 on 24-Jun-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1715.60 and Rs. 1668.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 433603.69 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 26.00%, while institutions and non-institutions held 55.07% and 18.80% respectively.

HDFC Bank, one of the most prominent private sector lenders, has launched a training centre for youth in Nagpur. Through this initiative, the bank will provide career counselling and skills training to over 13,000 youth from Nagpur and Bhandara. The bank will also help over 3,000 youth find relevant employment opportunities in retail, apparel and tourism and hospitality sectors.

HDFC Bank has posted a rise of 18.25% in its net profit at Rs 3990.09 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017 as compared to Rs 3374.22 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank increased by 14.30% at Rs 21560.66 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 18862.61 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016.
