Raymond trades with traction on the bourses

Raymond is currently trading at Rs. 714.00, up by 14.75 points or 2.11% from its previous closing of Rs. 699.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 721.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 721.00 and Rs. 701.70 respectively. So far 27435 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 806.70 on 03-May-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 398.15 on 23-Aug-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 752.55 and Rs. 693.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4388.12 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 43.05%, while institutions and non-institutions held 24.36% and 32.59% respectively.

Raymond is planning to invest Rs 1,400 crore in a phased manner in its greenfield project at Amravati to expand the cotton textile manufacturing footprint. The plant, when completed by this year-end, will employ 8,000 workers and produce linen, cotton shirting, denim and garmenting.

On the retail side, the company will put up 300 Raymond shops and 200 other format shops under Park Avenue and Colour Plus in tier-IV and tier-V cities over the next two years. It currently has 1,100 shops in 450 cities.
