SKF India, a part of the SKF Group, has expanded vehicle parts centre at Pune for Vehicle Service Market, its automotive aftermarket distribution business. It aims to fulfill increasing demands for the automotive aftermarket across India by packaging and distribution of kits for example wheel bearings kits for 2-wheelers and 4-wheelers, engine bearings kits, transmission bearings kits and steering race kits amongst others.
The company has added significant floor space to the existing parts centre to accommodate the assembly of these critical parts together and facilitate a complete kit to the end markets.
SKF makes products for a range of sectors including automobiles, aerospace, wind energy, construction and industrial transmission. The firm, which follows the calendar year as its financial year, is spending about Rs 160 crore to expand capacity and is ramping up operations at a plant in Pune.
