Ashok Leyland rises on bagging order worth Rs 650 crore

Ashok Leyland is currently trading at Rs. 105.25, up by 1.20 points or 1.15% from its previous closing of Rs. 104.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 104.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 105.50 and Rs. 104.80 respectively. So far 2,15,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 109.50 on 18-Jul-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 73.60 on 22-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 107.65 and Rs. 100.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 30,772.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.29%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.73% and 16.98% respectively.

Ashok Leyland has bagged an order worth Rs 650 crore from KSRTC for 3019 buses. This order, one of the largest from a State Transport Undertaking for a single OEM, would be executed in the current financial year which would help the company in furthering its leadership position in buses.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
