Ashok Leyland reports 14% jump in July sales

Ashok Leyland has reported a jump of 14% in July 2017 sales to 11,981 units, as against 10,492 units sold in the same period of last year. The company reported a rise of 10% in its medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) products segment to 9,026 units in July 2017, as compared to 8,182 units in July 2016.

The light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment of the company registered sales of 2,955 units in July 2017, a rise of 28%, as compared to 2,310 units sold in July 2016.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
