Ashok Leyland trades higher on the bourses

Ashok Leyland is currently trading at Rs. 114.05, up by 1.90 points or 1.69% from its previous closing of Rs. 112.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 113.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 114.35 and Rs. 112.70 respectively. So far 157134 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 120.15 on 21-Sep-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 73.60 on 22-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 117.00 and Rs. 109.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 33245.44 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.29%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.73% and 16.98% respectively.

Ashok Leyland has rolled out Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) ‘Dost+’, the improvised version of ‘Dost’ at Bengaluru in state of Karnataka. ‘Dost+’ starts at Rs 5.68 lakh whereas ‘Dost+’ with AC starts at Rs 5.98 lakh.

‘Dost+’ would address a bigger pie in the LCV segment with superior mileage, excellent pick-up, 18 per cent extra  higher payload, 7 per cent more loading space and bigger and 15-inch tyres.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
