Ashok Leyland reports 28% jump in September sales

Ashok Leyland has reported a jump of 28% in September 2017 sales to 15,370 units, as against 12,052 units sold in the same month of last year. The company reported a rise of 32% in its medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) products segment to 11,804 units in September 2017, as compared to 8,958 units in September 2016.

The light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment of the company registered sales of 3,566 units in September 2017, a rise of 15%, as compared to 3,094 units sold in September 2016.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
