KIOCL’s Pellet production has crossed one million ton per annum (MTPA) in the first half of 2017-18 with sale of 1.125 million ton. This is against the production of 2.4 lakh ton and a sale of 1.67 lakh ton during the same period of previous year (2016-17).
The increase in production and sale of Pellet was due to supportive pricing environment, efficiency in production, swift decision making in exploiting market opportunity and implementing the concept of Make in India.
KIOCL is Asia's largest iron ore mining and pelletisation complex and the country's biggest 100% export oriented unit engaged in the business of exporting high quality iron oxide pellets and pig iron.
