Apollo Tyres declines on reporting 46% fall in Q2 consolidated net profit

Apollo Tyres is currently trading at Rs. 239.05, down by 5.60 points or 2.29% from its previous closing of Rs. 244.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 242.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 250.10 and Rs. 238.20 respectively. So far 305654 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 288.30 on 07-Aug-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 171.60 on 16-Feb-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 250.10 and Rs. 238.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 13651.97 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 44.15%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.79% and 16.06% respectively.

The company has reported 37.47% fall in its net profit after tax at Rs 127.60 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2017 as compared to Rs 204.07 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the total income of the company increased by 6.74% at Rs 2499.44 crore for Q2FY18 as compared Rs 2341.70 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidate basis, the company has reported 45.98% fall in its net profit after tax at Rs 140.18 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 259.52 crore for the corresponding quarter in the FY17. However, total consolidated income of the company increased 4.34% at Rs 3496.38 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 3350.93 crore for the same quarter ended previous year.
