Berger Paints declines on reporting 20% fall in Q2 consolidated net profit

Berger Paints India is currently trading at Rs. 260.30, down by 7.55 points or 2.82% from its previous closing of Rs. 267.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 268.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 270.05 and Rs. 257.75 respectively. So far 74242 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 285.75 on 25-Oct-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 178.00 on 22-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 279.00 and Rs. 257.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 25337.90 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.99%, while institutions and non-institutions held 14.13% and 10.88% respectively.

Berger Paints India has reported 32.90% fall in its net profit at Rs 108.25 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 161.32 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased marginally by 0.54% at Rs 1153.07 crore for Q2FY18 as compared Rs 1159.38 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 19.77% fall in its net profit at Rs 111.34 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2017 as compared to Rs 138.78 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the total income of the company increased marginally by 0.16% at Rs 1291.83 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1289.75 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016.
