ITC trades higher on the bourses

ITC is currently trading at Rs. 259.25, up by 1.70 points or 0.66% from its previous closing of Rs. 257.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 258.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 260.70 and Rs. 257.40 respectively. So far 147287 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 353.20 on 03-Jul-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 222.05 on 26-Dec-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 263.45 and Rs. 250.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 315909.41 crore.

The institutions and non-institutions held 55.53% and 44.47%stake in the company, respectively.

ITC has introduced customised notebooks under its ‘Classmate’ brand. Under the initiative, a person can customise the front cover of the notebooks. Moreover, the company has got over 150 orders since the initiative’s launch in October. Orders are spread across the country, including the top six cities and many tier II and III cities.

The FMCG major has already introduced premium notebooks under Paperkraft. The company claims the paper used in the select premium offerings have a 100-year archival value. The consumer spends of the Indian notebook market is pegged at Rs 7,000 crore.

ITC has business a interests in cigarettes, hotels, paperboards and specialty papers, packaging, agri-business, packaged foods and confectionery, information technology, branded apparel, personal care, stationery, safety matches and other FMCG products.
