Mohota Industries enters B2C segment through dealers, e-commerce platforms

Mohota Industries has forayed into B2C segment through its existing dealer network and e-commerce platforms. This is in sync with the country’s digitization program. This also signals the company’s potential in finished-goods segment including garments, suitings, shirtings and denims. The company will further widen the product range to be sold under this platform. The company is targeting both domestic and export sales in this space with a focus on the latter. B2C segment is expected to boost company’s operating margins.

In addition to this, the company has started technological up-gradation of its distribution systems. Its network of 2,000 dealers will be enabled with an app-based platform to ease the process of order placing, tracking and also online payments which will improve fund flow. These actions are in line with the company’s ongoing expansion activity in the textiles sector.

Mohota Industries (formerly known as The Rai Saheb Rekhchand Mohota Spinning& Weaving Mills), based out of Nagpur, Maharashtra, is engaged in textile manufacturing and infrastructure projects.
