ITC advances on planning to add 5,000 rooms across new hotels

ITC is currently trading at Rs. 274.40, up by 1.55 points or 0.57% from its previous closing of Rs. 272.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 276.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 277.00 and Rs. 273.65 respectively. So far 5,20,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 353.20 on 03-Jul-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 249.95 on 19-Jan-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 277.00 and Rs. 259.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3,34,932.00 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 55.31% and 44.69% respectively in the company.

ITC is planning to add 5,000 rooms across new hotels over the next 3-5 years. This would include the setting up of its first overseas property at Colombo in Sri Lanka. Currently, the company owns and manages 100-odd hotels, across 70 locations, with over 9,000 keys across its four brands.

ITC has business a interests in cigarettes, hotels, paperboards and specialty papers, packaging, agri-business, packaged foods and confectionery, information technology, branded apparel, personal care, stationery, safety matches and other FMCG products.
