Omaxe rises on receiving Environmental Clearance for expansion of its Mathura township

Omaxe is currently trading at Rs. 229.55, up by 0.95 points or 0.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 228.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 229.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 229.85 and Rs. 229.10 respectively. So far 14,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 235.15 on 10-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 166.65 on 21-Mar-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 232.05 and Rs. 226.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4,198.48 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.72%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.88% and 9.40% respectively.

Omaxe has received Environmental Clearance (EC) from the Union Environment Ministry for expansion of its township in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh at an investment of Rs 170 crore.

The company is developing an ‘Omaxe Eternity township’ spread over 58 acres in Mathura. Now, the company plans to expand the size of the township by 37.26 acres taking the total size of the township to 95.10 acres. The company had sought the EC for the expansion as the build-up area is more than 1.5 lakh sq metre even as the expansion is less than 50 hectare.

Omaxe is engaged in real estate activities. The company is engaged in the business of providing infrastructure facilities, which include housing and real estate development.
