Bengal Tea & Fabrics workers call off illegal strike

The workers of Bengal Tea & Fabrics plant situated at Asarwa Mills, Asarwa Road, Ahmadabad in Gujarat have called off the strike unconditionally and have resumed work from 2nd shift on June 30, 2012. Earlier on June 25, 2012, the workers of the plant have gone on illegal strike.

Bengal Tea & Fabrics has interest in the business of Tea and Textiles. The tea estates of the company are situated in Upper Assam and produce about 1.7 million kilograms of quality black tea. The company owns a composite textile mill, namely Asarwa Mills, with an installed capacity of 47,616 spindles and 94 looms.
