Sirpur Paper Mills has forwarded a debt restructuring proposal to its lender banks. It had suffered production losses following the shutdown of its Sirpur-Kaghaznagar plant for 40 days due to an accident. This move by the company was also due to difficult market conditions.
The company’s soda recovery boiler at Sirpur-Kaghaznagar plant in Andhra Pradesh was damaged in an accident, in April. It has repaired the plant and production is being resumed in a phased manner.
Sirpur Paper Mills is amongst the largest paper manufacturers of variety and colour paper in India. The company manufactures wide range of papers.
