Ashok Leyland reports 20% growth in March sales

Ashok Leyland has reported a jump of 20% in March 2018 sales to 22,453 units, as against 18,701 units sold in the same month of last year. The company reported a rise of 12% in its medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) products segment to 17,057 units in March 2018, as compared to 15,277 units in March 2017.

The light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment of the company registered sales of 5,396 units in March 2018, a jump of 58% as compared to 3,424 units sold in March 2017.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
