Skipper gains despite reporting 15% fall in Q4 net profit

Skipper is currently trading at Rs. 185.45, up by 1.55 points or 0.84% from its previous closing of Rs. 183.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 183.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 193.00 and Rs. 183.00 respectively. So far 9167 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 292.50 on 27-Nov-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 173.00 on 17-May-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 200.00 and Rs. 173.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1905.48 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.23%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.12% and 12.65% respectively.

Skipper has reported fall of 15.14% in its net profit at Rs 49.35 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018 as compared to Rs 58.15 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has decreased marginally by 2.91% to Rs 593.64 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 611.41 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017.

For the year ended March 31, 2018, the company has reported a fall of 5.20% in its net profit at Rs 117.76 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018 as compared to Rs 124.22 crore for the corresponding quarter in the FY17. However, total income of the company increased by 17.19% to Rs 2,109.81 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1,800.33 crore for the same quarter ended previous year.
