Gravita India surges on inking contract with Amara Raja Batteries

Gravita India is currently trading at Rs. 168.40, up by 4.75 points or 2.90% from its previous closing of Rs. 163.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 164.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 170.95 and Rs. 164.05 respectively. So far 9495 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 205.00 on 27-Apr-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 74.90 on 07-Jun-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 175.50 and Rs. 157.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1164.57 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.81%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 2.48% and 24.70% respectively.

Gravita India has signed a contract with Amara Raja Batteries for Lead Acid Battery Scrap Collection and Recycling arrangements. Under this contract Gravita shall collect/purchase Lead Acid Battery scrap from designated locations of Amara Raja. It is a joint initiative towards environment protection and sustainability under which used batteries shall be recycled and Pure Lead/Lead Alloys will be supplied back to Amara Raja.

Gravita targets supply of approximately 8000 MT of Lead to Amara Raja under the said contract which will help the company to strengthen its top line in FY 2018?19 coupled with cost effective recycling and long term business association with Amara Raja. The supplies under this contract will be effected during FY 2018?19.
