In order to pare debt, McLeod Russel is reportedly planning to sell some of its gardens from the Doors region. This will mark its exit from the Dooars region, as well as reducing its estates in Assam belt in coming six months. Luxmi Tea and MK shah may show interest in these gardens.
The Willamson Magor Group (WMG) is expecting to create Rs 5-6 billion from this sale proceeds which will enable it to cover up the debt of 10 billion. This decision has got approval from its board.
