Sudarshan Chemical Industries has divested its plastics master batch business, Prescient Color, to Americhem, Inc. The transaction was completed on June 1, 2018. Ernst & Young, LLP acted as the exclusive M & A advisor to Sudarshan for the transaction.
This strategic divestment demonstrates Sudarshan’s commitment to grow aggressively in the Plastics industry through a no-conflict approach with customers. It has planned to invest around Rs 1000 crore ($150 million) over the next five years to underpin these growth targets.
Sudarshan Chemical Industries is engaged in the manufacture of organic and inorganic pigments, mica-based effect pigments, chemical intermediates and pesticides.
