ITC has reportedly entered into an agreement with Karamadai Panchayat Union in Coimbatore district to maintain zero garbage in Thekkampatti, Kemmarapalayam, Kallampalayam and Maradhur panchayats.
As per the agreement, the company would create awareness on garbage segregation at the household level and guide the panchayat staff on scientific management of waste in those panchayats.
ITC has business a interests in cigarettes, hotels, paperboards and specialty papers, packaging, agri-business, packaged foods and confectionery, information technology, branded apparel, personal care, stationery, safety matches and other FMCG products.
