Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys (IMFA) has shut down work at Sukinda & Mahagiri Mines, as the Union at Sukinda & Mahagiri Mines has ceased work from July 25, 2018 after raising certain demands, despite a valid wage agreement.
The company is studying their demands and shall look to resolve the situation at the earliest. Besides, there is adequate stock of chrome ore at the company’s plant sites and the company does not anticipate any disruption in production.
IMFA is a producer of ferro chrome/ferro alloys. The company operates through two segments - Ferro Alloys and Power.
