SML Isuzu rises on starting regular production on new assembly line

SML Isuzu is currently trading at Rs. 810.85, up by 15.00 points or 1.88% from its previous closing of Rs. 795.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 809.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 819.50 and Rs. 805.00 respectively. So far 590 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1098.00 on 03-Aug-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 719.60 on 16-Jul-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 836.60 and Rs. 770.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1173.43 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 43.96%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 8.47% and 47.56% respectively.

SML Isuzu has started regular production on the new assembly line, having total investment of Rs 22.4 crore. The production capacity of the plant increased from 1500 vehicles per month (18000 vehicles per annum) to 2000 vehicles per month (24000 vehicles per annum) effective August 01, 2018.

SML Isuzu manufactures a range of vehicles such as trucks, buses and ambulances. The company has launched products like 4WD, Samrat, Sartaj, Dual Cab, Supreme-8 tonner, Truck- Super 12, Super ALFD and many more.
